As an AV Post Production Specialist serving both Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, you will operate as a AV production specialist focused on media management, sourcing, project and finishing preps, conforming, deliverables, and creating video content within established frameworks and templates. Your direct influence extends across peers, editors, producers, QA teams, and immediate stakeholders, with your work directly impacting production quality and team goals.
Key job responsibilities
* Working primarily in Adobe Premiere, you'll manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
* While the role centers on executing established and evolving workflows, you are expected to contribute to process improvements and enhancement opportunities as new technologies and tools become available.
* The position requires balancing multiple priorities, inherent attention to detail, a quality control mindset, a technical problem-solving nature, and creative lens.
* You'll collaborate with stakeholders across creative, marketing, production, and QA teams, where strong and consistent communication skills are required for accurate and timely deliveries.
* The scope extends beyond routine executional task to include participation in strategic discussions and initiatives that enhance the team's creative production capabilities.
* Success in this role means delivering consistently high-quality visual assets that meet both creative excellence and operational efficiency standards, directly contributing to Prime Video's marketing effectiveness and subscriber engagement goals.
A day in the life
* You'll meet and work closely with the AV Post Production Manager and Editors to execute project tasks.
* You'll execute and troubleshoot asset management and sourcing, project set-ups, conforming, finishing preps, and deliveries tasks
* You'll edit clips, cutdowns, string-outs, and drop-ins
* You'll manage multiple projects and deadlines daily, updating statuses in project management tools
* You'll communicate timely updates with essential partners and stakeholders
About the team
The AV Post Production Specialist will play a key role in the growth of a newly reformed in-house AV studio focused on raising the creative bar, delighting customers, and Prime Video's overall marketing effectiveness and engagement goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Video Editing, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
- 3+ years experience as an assistant editor, post-production specialist or similar role
- Experience working in an in-house agency, creative agency or similar production environment
- 3+ years working with Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Experience in data asset management, libraries, or digital collections, with ability to research for high quality assets for production
Preferred Qualifications
- Entertainment-focused editing experience, preferably theatrical and/or streaming
- Deep experience and proficiency with Adobe Premiere, After Effects
- Extensive knowledge of A/V production workflows, particularly short-form marketing (promos, trailers, sizzles, etc)
- Familiarity with network storage platforms and media storage systems
- Experienced in music editing, sound design, sound mixing, and color-correction
- Ability to execute edit tasks in both a supervised and unsupervised capacity
- Proven ability to work closely with editors, creative directors, AV producers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to deliver, which may require working outside of business hours to meet deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $148,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
