**Automotive Technician $22-25/hr**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join a reputable distributor that has been in business since 1848. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, or industrial maintenance industries.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble and install equipment such as service bodies, platforms, van packages, hoists, electrical components and circuits, shelving and drawer systems, ladder racks, and other mechanical items.
+ Read work instructions and installation materials to properly assemble equipment.
+ Test performance before delivering units to a final audit.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting
+ Mechanical repair
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools
+ Welding (preferred but not mandatory)
+ Automotive repair
+ Plumbing
+ Electrical wiring
+ Carpentry
+ Chassis systems
+ Hydraulics
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Mechanical background in automotive, diesel, or industrial maintenance industry

**Work Environment**
Work hours are from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. You will be working on all brand-new vehicles, including dump trucks, domestic chassis, cargo vans, and pickup trucks (350, 450, etc.). The role involves hands-on work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
