**Job Title: Automotive Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Automotive Technician with expertise in engine repair, transmissions, and auto repair. If you have experience diagnosing engine issues using scan tools, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic equipment, this position is ideal for you. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose engine issues using scan tools, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic equipment. + Repair or replace damaged engine components. + Perform engine rebuilds and overhauls when necessary. + Test and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper engine performance. + Repair damaged or malfunctioning vehicles. + Frequently use hand tools and power tools. **Essential Skills** + Strong diagnostic skills and experience with modern engine management systems. + Skilled in engine repair. + Mechanical aptitude. + Electrical troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years’ experience in a GM dealership preferred. + A clean driving record. + Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, climbing, leaning, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and other maneuvers. + Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. (50 lbs. overhead) throughout the day. + You will need your own automotive tools, though a built-in toolbox will be provided. **Work Environment** The work environment is a large dealership with a high volume of activity.
