As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Apprentice Mechanic, you’ll train to maintain and repair the essential vehicles and machinery that keep airport operations moving — from electric and hybrid equipment to heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and 80‑tonne aircraft tractors. You’ll gain real experience from day one while working toward a recognised Level 3 qualification.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00AM - 15:30PM
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be part of a skilled engineering team, learning how to:
Carry out safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, and routine maintenance
Assist experienced technicians with repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Diagnose faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
Maintain accurate service records and report issues clearly and promptly
Support urgent repairs and breakdowns in a fast‑paced airport environment
