Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain the full general ledger, including journals, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with supporting schedules Perform variance analysis against budget and prior periods, providing meaningful commentary to management Ensure all financial records comply with IFRS standards and OEM group reporting requirements Statutory & Tax Compliance
Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, provisional tax, and income tax returns Ensure compliance with all South African statutory and regulatory requirements Liaise with SARS, auditors, and external advisors when required Accounts & Cash Flow Management
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and reporting Ensure timely processing of payments and collections in line with company policies Fixed Assets & Controls
Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation accurately Assist in developing and enforcing strong internal financial controls Support risk management and governance processes Budgeting, Forecasting & Audit Support
Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring clean audit outcomes Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries Qualifications & Experience
BCom Accounting / Finance or equivalent qualification (essential) Minimum 3–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within an OEM, automotive environment Strong working knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation Experience working in a head office or group reporting environment advantageous Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!! Key Skills & Competencies:
High attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a growing, evolving environment Excellent time management and deadline-driven mindset Strong communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functionally Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reports On-time statutory and tax submissions Audit outcomes (zero or minimal findings) Budget variance management and cost control Cash flow forecasting accuracy
