Automation Technician
**Job Title: Automation Technician** Job Description The Automation Service Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the integrity of process equipment through preventive maintenance, process improvement, repairs, and service response. The role involves working closely with Service Supervisors to ensure system efficiency. Responsibilities + Ensure all equipment operates properly and safely, performing periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule. + Conduct maintenance including hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance, major equipment overhaul, parts fabrication, air conditioning and heating system installation, adjustment, system design changes, calibration, and electronic and pneumatic controls repair. + Perform daily inspections of doors, dock plates, banana rooms, and other building and support areas, recognizing problems and executing repairs before breakdowns occur. + Independently troubleshoot and repair issues using advanced skills such as electronic repair, programmable control and relay logic repair, programming, and design. + Repair racks as needed and handle battery and charger replacements. + Replace damaged or burned-out lighting fixtures and repair ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems. + Maintain complete repair order records. Essential Skills + Troubleshooting and machine repair experience. + Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. + HVAC experience. + Experience as an Automotive Technician. + Industrial maintenance and automation expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School diploma or GED and enrollment in a Vo-Tech or school of technology with a good attendance record. + Mechanical inclination and mechanical maintenance and repair skills. + Experience working with voltages up to 480 volts. + Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical instrumentation. + Capability to maintain and repair mechanical components, work with PLC controllers, diagnose faults, and execute repairs. + Proficiency in using and understanding computer programs and functionality. + Ability to learn new information quickly. + Skill in making fine adjustments to controllers, sensors, and switches. + Strong communication skills, decision-making ability, and capacity to work well under pressure. Work Environment Most work is performed in a typical warehouse setting where hazards exist due to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, and the movement of tractors and trailers. The role involves working on cranes using safety harnesses and equipment, which will become a requirement once fully trained and hired. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $78416.00/yr.
