Job Description
As an Automation Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the integrity of process equipment through preventive maintenance, process improvement, repairs, and service response. You will collaborate with Service Supervisors to ensure the system operates efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure all equipment operates properly and safely.Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks as assigned and according to schedule, including hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.Conduct major equipment overhauls, fabricate parts, install and adjust air conditioning and heating systems, and repair electronic and pneumatic controls.Perform daily inspections of doors, dock plates, banana rooms, and other building and support areas, recognizing and repairing problems before breakdowns occur.Independently troubleshoot and repair issues using advanced skills, including electronic repair and programming.Repair racks, replace batteries and chargers, replace lighting fixtures, and repair refrigeration systems.Maintain complete repair order records.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting and machine repair skills.Electrical troubleshooting and repair expertise.HVAC experience.Experience working as an Automotive Technician.Ability to work with voltages up to 480 volts.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED and enrollment in Vo-Tech or school of technology with a good attendance record.Mechanical maintenance and repair skills.Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand electrical instrumentation.Proficiency in maintaining and repairing mechanical system components, working with PLC controllers, and diagnosing faults.Capability to use and understand computer programs and learn new information quickly.Ability to make fine adjustments to controllers, sensors, and switches.Strong communication skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a typical warehouse setting with hazards related to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, and movement of tractors and trailers. The role involves working on cranes using safety harnesses and equipment once fully trained.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $78416.00/yr.
