**Job Title: Automation Technician**
**Job Description**
The Automation Service Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the integrity of process equipment through preventive maintenance, process improvement, repairs, and service response. The role involves working closely with Service Supervisors to ensure efficient system operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure all equipment operates properly and safely, performing periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility according to schedule.
+ Conduct hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance; major overhaul of equipment; fabrication of parts; air conditioning and heating system installation, adjustment, system design changes and calibration, and repair of electronic and pneumatic controls.
+ Perform daily inspection of doors, dock plates, banana rooms, and all other building and support areas. Recognize problems and conduct repairs before breakdowns occur.
+ Independently troubleshoot and repair problems using advanced skills, including electronic repair with programmable control and relay logic repair, programming, and design.
+ Repair racks as required; repair or replace batteries and chargers; replace damaged or burned out lighting fixtures.
+ Repair ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
+ Maintain complete repair order records.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting and machine repair skills.
+ Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
+ HVAC experience.
+ Electrical troubleshooting and PLC troubleshooting.
+ Industrial maintenance and automation skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or GED.
+ Vo-Tech or School of Technology enrollment with good attendance record.
+ Mechanical inclination with maintenance and repair skills.
+ Experience working with voltages up to 480 volts.
+ Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical instrumentation.
+ Experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical components, working with PLC controllers, and diagnosing faults.
+ Proficiency in computer programs and functionality.
+ Ability to learn new information quickly.
+ Capability to make fine adjustments to controllers, sensors, and switches.
+ Strong communication skills, decision-making abilities, and ability to work well under pressure.

**Work Environment**
Work is primarily conducted in a typical warehouse setting with machinery hazards such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, and movement of tractors and trailers. The role includes working on automated cranes, using safety harnesses and equipment, once fully trained and hired. The schedule is a 3rd shift from 7pm to 5:30am, four days a week, with availability required for weekends, holidays, and overtime.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $78416.00/yr.
