**Job Title: Automation Technician**
**Job Description**
As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for performing administration, total productive maintenance, and qualification of all equipment in the automation cell. You will troubleshoot issues efficiently and communicate resolutions to management promptly. You will also set up, touch up, and operate CNC equipment to acceptable standards with minimal supervision.
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee automation cell(s) and multitask by handling additional machining cell assignments.
+ Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
+ Set up and operate numerous machines within acceptable standards.
+ Work from blueprints, drawings, and production orders to include diameters, radii, and angles.
+ Identify and correct issues using blueprints.
+ Create and edit programs as needed to produce high-quality parts within tolerances.
+ Mathematically decipher print dimensions using apparent information.
+ Determine correct tooling for each job if not specified, and perform minor touch-up sharpening of tooling.
+ Monitor machines during production for part accuracy by performing first and final piece inspections.
+ Adjust machine cutting/robotics paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
+ Maintain required documentation and paperwork in accordance with quality policies.
+ Gather information on timesheets and routings and provide to supervisor for ERP system updates.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and other machinists to ensure program accuracy.
+ Maintain CNC program version information using Cimco DNC software.
+ Seek continuous improvement opportunities as inefficiencies are discovered during daily operations.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in CNC, lathe, and G&M codes.
+ Experience with CNC Lathe and Robotics.
+ Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
+ Experience with blueprint reading and machine setup.
+ Knowledge of programming and machining.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ 5+ years of Robotics experience.
+ 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Successful completion of CNC Machining and CNC Programming schooling.
+ Experience with GD&T and editing programs.
+ Robotics certifications are a plus.

**Work Environment**
Work on the first shift as a CNC Machinist/Automation Technician from 6 AM to 2:30 PM in a manufacturing environment. Expect exposure to natural and artificial light, controlled work temperatures, light to moderate graphite dust, and moderate noise levels. PPE is required. Physical demands include standing for long periods, bending, reaching, walking, and using hands and fingers. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently is required. Effective communication in English and proficiency in using a personal computer are essential. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are necessary.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
