This role will be an Automation Engineer who has extensive experience developing and implementing comprehensive test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications using modern automation tools and technologies. They are expected to work closely with Subject Matter Experts, developers, technical project managers, principal engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that application solutions meet quality standards and business/customer requirements through robust automated testing strategies. **Responsibilities** • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications using Cypress, Playwright, WebDriverIO, and Appium. • Build and execute automated test suites including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms and devices. • Develop robust and maintainable test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript following industry best practices and design patterns. • Implement cross-browser and cross-platform testing strategies to ensure consistent application behavior across different environments. • Create and maintain comprehensive mobile test automation solutions for iOS and Android platforms using Appium. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools to enable continuous testing. • Collaborate with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices and ensure testability of features. • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues efficiently. • Establish and maintain test data management strategies and test environment configurations. • Implement API testing and service layer validation as part of comprehensive test coverage. • Monitor and report on test automation metrics including test coverage, execution time, and defect trends. • Lead test automation initiatives and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior automation engineers. • Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards. • Work with both onsite (Scrum Master, Product, QA and Developers) and offshore team members in defining testable scenarios and automation strategies. • Stay current with emerging automation tools, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve the automation suite. • This role will act in a senior manner, potentially leading QA automation teams, being held accountable for automation projects and mentoring junior team members. **Qualifications** **Required Skills:** • 8-11 years of experience • Technology Stack: Cypress, Playwright, WebDriverIO, Appium, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, GitHub, CI/CD tools • Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for developing robust test automation frameworks. • Strong hands-on experience with modern web automation frameworks including Cypress and Playwright for end-to-end testing. • Proven expertise with WebDriverIO for cross-browser testing and Selenium-based automation. • Extensive experience with Appium for mobile test automation on iOS and Android platforms. • Deep understanding of test automation design patterns including Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). • Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, DOM manipulation, and browser developer tools. • Experience with API testing and validation using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or similar frameworks. • Proficient in version control systems (Git/GitHub) and collaborative development workflows. • Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.). • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and mobile testing strategies for native, hybrid, and web apps. • Experience with test reporting and analytics tools to track and visualize test results and quality metrics. • Knowledge of performance testing and accessibility testing practices is a plus. • Experience with containerization (Docker) for test environment setup and management. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for test execution and infrastructure. • Good knowledge in Healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management is preferred. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with ability to analyze complex test failures. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous integration and delivery practices. **About Evernorth Health Services** Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, creates pharmacy, care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality.
