Description Role Overview This role is a hands‑on Senior Automation Engineer position supporting a live manufacturing facility within the health, nutrition, or regulated process manufacturing space. The engineer will focus on automation and controls troubleshooting, system reliability, and small‑to‑medium improvement initiatives, working closely with cross‑functional plant teams to enhance performance and sustainability of control systems. The position requires comfort working directly in a production environment and taking ownership of automation enhancements from idea through execution. Key Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day support to plant operations by troubleshooting automation, instrumentation, and control system issues Lead and execute small‑to‑medium automation improvement projects from initial concept through implementation Improve reliability, standardization, and documentation across control systems Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT/OT teams Help build internal automation capability and reduce dependence on external contractors Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support site leadership and plant objectives Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline 4–8 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering Strong experience with PLC and/or DCS platforms (DeltaV or Allen Bradley experience required) Proven ability to troubleshoot live production systems in a manufacturing environment Experience supporting batch or continuous process manufacturing (pharma, chemical, food, or other regulated industries preferred) Skills Allen-bradley, delta-v, I/O Checkout, hardware configuration, data analysis, data science, alarm rationalization, pi vision, Seeq Top Skills Details Allen-bradley,delta-v,I/O Checkout,hardware configuration Additional Skills & Qualifications Culture Fit: Someone who appreciates a systematic and structured way of doing things, someone independent minded, very organized, and emphasis on sustainability Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
