Department Details: Application Platform engineering is accountable for the hosting platform for KP.org and managing all the environments that support the application development and testing. Part of the role is to provide application load balancing, hosting services, certificate management services, Web Application Firewall, and edge caching for content delivery. Another arm of the department is to offer an end-to-end environment support. Internship Projects: The intern will be accountable for developing dashboards for the utilization of Akamai services. The incumbent will help account for and consolidate all automation under one umbrella to track and modernize. Target Majors: Computer Science; Math/Statistics Target Skillset: Exposure to modern scripting, working knowledge of websites, and mobile applications.
