Audit Manager

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Audit Manager to lead internal audit initiatives, drive process improvements, and ensure robust internal controls across the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, including DFARS Business Systems requirements, and serves as a key liaison with government oversight agencies such as the DCAA and DCMA.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.

10+ years of experience in external auditing for public firm or experience with internal controls

2+ years of experience in managing or supervising a team

CPA or Six Sigma certification nice to have!

Job Description

This position is is responsible for leading a team to support the sustainability of business systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with internal controls, performance improvement, and internal controls. The successful candidate will develop relationships with stakeholders to foster a risk and control mindset.

Responsibilities include:

Lead and execute internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas.Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce risk.Develop, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with DFARS Business Systems requirements, including Accounting, Estimating, and Purchasing Systems.Serve as the primary point of contact for DCAA and DCMA audits, inquiries, and reviews.Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior leadership.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and monitor progress.Support external audits and regulatory examinations.Stay informed on changes in government contracting regulations and audit standards.Mentor and guide junior audit staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
