What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Uptown branch is seeking an experienced individual to join a high-performing team. In this role, you will work closely with the portfolio managers to deliver high-quality and comprehensive financial planning to high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.

You will play a key role in integrating financial planning into the core client experience - helping clients make informed decisions across retirement, tax, estate, insurance, and wealth transfer planning.

The ideal candidate will be a natural relationship manager with a financial planning background who enjoys working directly with clients and who thrives in a collaborative environment.

What will you do?

Deliver comprehensive financial plans, including retirement, estate, charitable, and business succession planningPrepare wealth projections and modeling using firm tools to support client objectivesAttend client meetings with advisors, help translate complex planning concepts into actionable strategiesIdentify opportunities for asset consolidation, referrals, and planning improvements within the client basePartner with portfolio managers to integrate financial planning into the core client experienceCoordinate with internal specialists, external advisors, and centres of influence (COI)Ensure smooth execution of client strategies, from meeting preparation to post-meeting follow-upsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of financial planning best practices, tax legislation, and regulatory requirementsSupport team development by sharing insights, planning tools, and best practices

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

7+ years of experience in financial planning or wealth managementFinancial planner diploma granted by the Institute of Financial PlanningExperience working with high-net-worth clientsBilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needsStrong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail skillsHigh client service orientation and interpersonal skillsProficiency with business applications, including Microsoft 365 Apps

Nice-to-have

Registered Representative (RR) with CIROMaster of Taxation (M.Tax.) and/or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
