Job Description:

Role Accountabilities:
Provides senior market presence and deepens the ONE TD offering to High Net Work/ Ultra High Net Worth client segment by building strong internal and industry partnerships.

Inspires regional team through the management network in gaining and translating client insights to support the build of a scalable Private Wealth Management model.

Lead a group of Branch Managers and Market Managers through supporting them in the development and execution of their respective regional business plans.

Driving the region’s operating performance, sales management culture, talent management strategy and tactics, as well as business development, compliance oversight and recruitment of top talent.

Contributing to the achievement of TDW Private Wealth Management overall business results by developing and executing an annual regional business and operating plan consistent with the PWM strategy and objectives.

Developing and preserving productive and respectful partnership relationships across TD Wealth and TD Bank

Inspiring business and talent leadership by recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing teams through personal development planning, objective-setting and timely feedback, and performance assessments.

Coaching and developing executive talent by building and maintaining a succession plan for key roles in the region.

Leading the evolution and delivery of legendary client experiences.

Actively promoting the TDW PWM brand within the region by participation and leadership in business and industry groups, and related activities, including public speaking and media appearances.

Supporting TD Bank Group-sponsored activities and other local community events.

Overseeing and directing the negotiation and appropriate resolution of significant client issues that may include liaising with internal and external ombudsmen, industry regulators and participation in legal proceedings.

Providing ongoing leadership, counsel, and oversight on compliance-related matters to ensure conformity with evolving industry regulations, internal compliance, risk management, audit policies and practices, and delivering satisfactory audit results.

Owns:

Responsible for the overall sales leadership of PWM respective region translating the strategy into actionable delivery.

Owns the delivery / execution of the overarching vision by developing and implementing plans against the strategy in alignment to various client offerings to achieve market share, profitability, and other financial objectives for respective region.

Ensure legendary client experience.

Resource allocation and expenditure decisions within the regional budget.

Talent management, development, and allocation decisions (hiring, replacement, and net new FTE) within established plan.

Foster speed and simplicity through PWM aligned sales and operating models designed to materially increase frequency, consistency, and sustainability of the end-to-end delivery of the client engagement model while effectively managing risk aligned with our PWM risk appetite.

Deliver open, clear, and regular communication defined by roles and frequency.

Drive efficiency and productivity through effective change and practice management.

Lead, support, and motivate a positive and committed sales and growth-oriented culture through goal setting, local R&R, Pulse, leader development and team building events.

Deliver on the integrated OneTD operating model with cross functional regional talent focus to evolve the PWM brand in the region.

Liaise and lead the PWM field teams to deliver an integrated U/HNW experience.

Rollout and execution of full Sales and Client Engagement Model

Support the implementation of a legendary client experience leveraging practice management and the Sales and Client Engagement Model (SCEM)

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of distribution leadership experience, including branch and sales management.

A successful track record of recruiting, acquiring, growing, and retaining top talent, promoting diversity and inclusion, building partnerships, aligning enterprise capabilities, and raising the bar on continuous improvement.

A proven ability to serve as strategist, change agent and advocate, while balancing business realities, regulatory expectations, and best practices.

Experience working in a large financial institution where success is achieved by collaborating with other business partners.

A clear understanding of the importance of collaboration across the organization to leverage peer groups.

A proven ability to stay resilient under pressure and to operate in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.

A proven ability to drive results and foster an environment of accountability and ownership.

Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Demonstrated attention to detail.

Confident presentation and facilitation skills.

Effective influencing skills, including strong positive written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum of an undergraduate university degree or related post-secondary education

Current qualification and/or registration with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) as a Registered Representative and Supervisor and/or PDO
