**About the role**
The Associate Project Manager provides advanced administrative support to the Project Management team leading facility improvement projects with emphasis on leading document controls, financial administration and forecasting, cost analysis, and project program support.
This job is part of the Project Management function responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. The role is full-time, on-site supporting individual, multi-disciplined facilities improvement project solutions for our life sciences client in Elkton, VA.
**What you’ll do**
Document controls in support of the projects team. Developing safety documents in support of the PJM team, badging requirements, PRV Document repository, and contract support.
Potential future use of SAP software to conduct advanced financial analysis. Lead financial forecasting and administration for capital improvement projects within life sciences facility.
Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard documents affecting facilities improvement projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep clients and project resources informed. Facilitate project meetings.
Implements project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Builds action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure Client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to resolve impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.

**What you’ll need**
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Prior Project Management experience required
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge in MS Project and SAP accounting software preferred. Knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices preferred.
+ PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
+ Efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous customer service
+ Requires knowledge of financial terms and forecasting and cost analysis principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions.
