Job Descriptions: GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: To balance customer demand expectations with production capabilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + Enters new orders and maintains the production schedule via the MRP system. + Assists with updating the product line report for the revised sales forecast. + Assists with generating monthly schedules to meet customer order deliveries. + Effectively communicates the schedule and exceptions to the factory and management. + Releases manufacturing work orders, daily, via MRP to configuration for shop floor and stockroom distribution. + Works closely with procurement – production planning – engineering – manufacturing to ensure functional department deliverables support the schedule. + Provides feedback / solutions to management where inadequate dates support the schedule. + May participate in Process Improvement Teams (PIT) and may recommend continuous improvements. Required Experience: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards. Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors. Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary. Ability to adhere to workplace rules. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS/BA degree desired but not required. 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Microsoft Office Suite (including Project). Experience with MRP/ERP System Knowledge. WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office environment. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
