We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Product Manager to join our Quantitative Data & Platform team. What You'll Do:
Internal Client Focus & Requirements Gathering: Act as a key liaison between our R&D, Portfolio Analysis and Platform and Data teams, deeply understanding their workflows, challenges, and evolving needs for data, research environments, backtesting capabilities, and analytical tooling. Translate these needs into clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, and specifications. Product Roadmap Contribution & Execution: Support the product roadmap for our quantitative data and platform services, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the quant team and the broader J.P. Morgan Asset Management business. Assist in prioritizing initiatives to maximize impact and efficiency. Cross-Functional Delivery: Collaborate closely with data engineering, software engineering, and infrastructure teams to facilitate the design, development, testing, and deployment of robust, scalable, and high-quality data products and platform enhancements. Data Ecosystem Enablement: Champion the accessibility, quality, and reliability of financial market data and derived analytics within our platform. Platform Innovation: Support the evolution of our quantitative platform, including tools for portfolio construction, simulation, performance attribution, and risk management, ensuring they meet the sophisticated demands of our internal users. Agile Product Management: Participate actively in an agile development process, helping to manage the product backlog, refine user stories, and ensure timely delivery of features. Stakeholder Communication: Clearly articulate product vision, updates, and dependencies to internal stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for platform features, data sources, and APIs to empower users and streamline onboarding. Industry & Technology Monitoring: Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and new technologies in fintech, quantitative investing, data management, and platform development to inform product strategy.What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative or analytical field. 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, data analysis, or a similar role, ideally within the wealth management, asset management, or fintech space. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning skills, with an ability to break down complex problems into manageable components. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in gathering and documenting requirements, and translating them into technical specifications. A solid understanding of data concepts (e.g., databases, data modeling, data pipelines, APIs, data quality frameworks) and familiarity with data query languages (e.g., SQL). A demonstrable passion for financial markets, investment management, and the application of technology and data to solve investment challenges. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Nice to Haves:
