Job Description
The AI Associate Product Manager will help deliver artificial intelligence features and workflow improvements that enhance how audiences discover, consume, and engage with content across CNBC. This product role partners closely Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Editorial to support the development of AI-powered experiences—such as personalization, recommendations, summarization, and data visuals—while ensuring solutions align with journalistic standards, brand voice, and responsible AI principles. The ideal candidate is curious, data-informed, and eager to learn how to translate AI capabilities into clear user experiences and measurable outcomes. You’ll contribute to discovery, define requirements, coordinate delivery, and help evaluate results through experimentation and analytics. Job responsibilities include:
• Support AI product execution by working with cross-functional partners to ship AI-driven features that improve news discovery, personalization, and editorial workflows.
• Contribute to opportunity identification by synthesizing user needs, newsroom and user feedback, analytics insights, and competitive research to propose AI use cases with clear value.
• Translate needs into product requirements by drafting user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog prioritization
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to clarify scope, track dependencies, unblock progress, and ensure high-quality releases.
• Assist in model/product evaluation by partnering with Data Science, Editorial and Engineering to define success metrics, review offline and online performance, and identify areas for iteration
• Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders by summarizing AI concepts, feature tradeoffs, and release updates in accessible terms for Editorial and business partners
• Document and share learnings including requirements, decisions, experiment outcomes, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Skills and Requirements
• 1–3 years of experience in product management, product operations, analytics, consulting, engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding AI/ML concepts (generative AI, NLP, recommendations, personalization) and the ability to learn quickly with guidance from technical partners.
• Ability to break down problems, define requirements, prioritize tasks, and drive execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with Editorial, Design, Engineering, and Data Science.
• Awareness of responsible AI considerations such as accuracy, bias, transparency, privacy, and brand risk—especially in a media context.
• Fluent in the overall opportunities and challenges with AI • Experience with digital publishing products, newsroom workflows, or content platforms.
• Expertise in AI content tools and platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) and basic evaluation concepts.
• Demonstrated passion for innovation at the intersection of journalism, technology, and audience experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial markets and investing principles, including investing tools and market data
