Associate Principal Engineer (India Office)
As an Architect – Development, you will act as the technical expert responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing software and data programs. This role involves identifying areas for improvement in existing systems, testing and evaluating new programs, and collaborating with business partners and technical teams to deliver robust solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Solution Design & Development** + Manage evaluation, identification, development, and implementation of software solutions. + Define, document, and record designs and modifications of applications or software. + Design real-time and batch system interfaces and data enrichment pipelines in a cloud-native data ecosystem. + Guide all phases of SDLC and provide technical support balancing business and technical needs. + Work with IT leadership and business partners to design features for the cloud platform. + **Performance & Optimization** + Create/review database views in Data Lake. + Optimize database views and queries for performance. + Schedule and orchestrate data refresh in workspaces. + Design DI/DQ rules in BRD and validate against views and reports. + **Security & Governance** + Review and implement proper RLS security. + Create and manage AD groups within work files. + **Deployment & Support** + Set up and manage deployment pipelines. + Provide development support, mentoring, and guidance to developers. + Create, review, and update report templates. + Deliver post-production and pre-AMS support. + Lead AMS knowledge transfer for operational support. + **Troubleshooting** + Resolve production issues across all levels and severities, ensuring best practices are followed. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred). + 7–9 years of experience in a lead development role. + 5+ years of experience in programming and data languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL, .NET, API). + Strong working knowledge of **Azure Data Factory** and **Databricks** . + Experience with cloud solutions and NoSQL databases (e.g., CosmosDB). + Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment. \#LI-KS1 At Wesco, we build, connect, power and protect the world.
