What this job involves:Build foundational expertise as an Associate Occupancy Planner with JLL, where you'll gain comprehensive exposure to Workplace & Occupancy Planning services while developing critical skills in demand planning, supply and capacity analysis, and forecasting accommodations for dynamic business requirements. You'll become an expert in space data management by processing and approving move and space requests while developing detailed churn reports by department and building to support strategic decision-making. This role positions you as a key team member developing departmental and site space plans with visibility to client deliverables driving key initiatives across Corporate Real Estate environments. Your analytical expertise will contribute to JLL's occupancy planning excellence while you pull blocking plans from space data management systems, analyze space utilization data, and provide essential data points for presentations that outline strategic options and recommendations for complex workplace challenges.
What your day-to-day will look like:Space Data Management: Become expert in space data management systems by processing and approving move and space requests, pulling blocking plans, and maintaining accurate occupancy information across multiple buildings and departmentsDemand Planning & Forecasting: Build familiarity with demand planning processes, understand supply and capacity relationships, and analyze how forecasted changes can be accommodated within existing space portfoliosReporting & Analysis: Develop comprehensive churn reports by department and building, analyze space and utilization data, and provide key data points for client presentations while understanding space allocation and chargeback report basicsStrategic Planning Support: Serve as key member developing departmental and site space plans, gain visibility to client deliverables driving key initiatives, and understand components of developing comprehensive space solutionsStakeholder Relationship Management: Foster critical relationships with department managers, administrative assistants for seating assignments, move coordination teams, and facility management while communicating with occupancy planning team members to resolve campus-specific issuesClient Presentation Development: Consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations for client and business stakeholders, outline pros and cons between strategic options, and communicate space planning solutions clearly to diverse audiencesCross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with move coordination and facility management teams to review and approve moves, develop migration plans, conduct facility audits, and resolve forecasts, needs, and concerns across multiple locationsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field with minimum 2-4 years of experience in corporate environment and previous space/occupancy planning experience at strategic level highly desirableAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel to manipulate large datasets with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD for floor plan development and space planning documentationCAFM system experience highly desirable with technological savviness to utilize software supporting planning solutions and ability to communicate ideas clearly with planning teams and lines of businessAbility to slice, dice, and filter large datasets while consolidating data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations for client and business stakeholder communicationExcellent written and verbal communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with executive-level external and internal clients across diverse organizational contexts Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines while reorganizing priorities daily to address changing team necessities and client requestsCapability to ask right questions understanding underlying client needs with proactive and innovative approach to developing solutions for stakeholders while working within diverse, supportive team environmentsPreferred Qualifications:Background in interior office renovations, construction project coordination, or facility management with understanding of space planning principles and workplace design concepts Experience with additional space planning software, business intelligence platforms, or advanced data visualization tools that enhance presentation capabilities and analytical insights Understanding of Corporate Real Estate principles, workplace strategy concepts, or facility management best practices with familiarity in occupancy optimization and space utilization analysisBackground in client-facing roles, account management, or professional services environments with proven track record building stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic solutions Experience with process optimization, workflow enhancement, or implementation of efficiency improvements within space planning or facility management contextsParticipation in professional organizations (IFMA, CoreNet Global), relevant certifications, or continuing education demonstrating commitment to industry knowledge and career advancementThis position does not provide visa sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position:
70,000.00 – 81,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
