The LPS Associate Merchant will analyze sales data, collaborate with suppliers, and engage with cross-functional teams to optimize product offerings and drive customer satisfaction. The Associate Merchant will own and manage a product assortment and category under the leadership of a merchant.
Essential Functions:
•\tSelect and manage the product assortment for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
•\tAnalyze sales data and performance metrics to provide insights on product performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
•\tMaintains communication with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and address any inquiries or issues related to inventory.
•\tMonitors inventory levels and assist in replenishment planning to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
•\t Conducts market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings that inform product decisions.
•\t Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and supply chain, to support promotional strategies and ensure effective execution of merchandising initiatives.
•\t Gathers and analyzes customer feedback to inform product decisions and improve overall offerings.
•\tMaintains accurate records of pricing, product specifications, and supplier agreements, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible.
Minimum Qualifications:
•\tBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
•\t1-3 years of experience in merchandising, retail, or supply chain management; experience in a relevant sector is a plus.
•\tStrong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
•\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
•\tDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
