Job Description: Data Analyst

SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Data Analyst with hands-on experience in Power BI and exposure to the Azure data platform to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The role involves building dashboards, performing analysis, and working closely with senior analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
This position is ideal for someone who has a solid analytics foundation and is looking to grow deeper expertise in Azure-based analytics and enterprise BI practices.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting & Dashboards
Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards under guidance from senior team members.
Create and enhance data models using star/snowflake schemas.
Build basic to intermediate DAX measures.
Ensure dashboards are accurate, performant, and user-friendly.

Data Analysis
1. Work with curated datasets from:
a. Azure Synapse Analytics
b. Azure SQL Database
c. Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
2. Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
3. Collaborate with data engineers to understand data pipelines and transformations.
Data Quality and Documentation
1. Perform data validation and reconciliation checks.
2. Document report logic, metrics, and assumptions.
3. Follow established data governance and security standards.
Collaboration
1. Work closely with business users to understand reporting needs.
Experience & Skills1. Minimum 4+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or reporting roles.
2. Hands-on experience in Power BI, including:
a. Building reports and dashboards
b. Basic to intermediate DAX
c. Data modeling fundamentals
3. Good working knowledge of SQL
4. Hands-on experience working with Azure data platforms, including:
a. Azure Synapse Analytics
b. Azure SQL
c. Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
5. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Education1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
