About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst with a strong background in accounting, reporting, and data quality assurance to join our Accounting Control & Data QA Team. This is a key role within a fast-paced, global asset management environment, ideal for professionals ready to take on additional responsibilities and drive operational improvements.

The team ensures the integrity of data within the Aladdin Accounting Book of Record, supporting client valuation reporting and performance calculations. This role also involves mentoring junior team members and supporting leadership in business-as-usual activities and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and oversee quality control (QC) checks on Aladdin accounting platform data.

Manage regional handovers and produce monthly valuation reports to high standards.

Address and resolve data quality and accounting queries in a timely manner.

Drive global process consistency and continuous improvement.

Support risk mitigation and control implementation across operations.

Collaborate with upstream/downstream teams and internal stakeholders.

Act as escalation point and cover for the Team Leader when needed.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to a learning culture.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

Portfolio accounting experience in securities or fund management industry.

Strong understanding of accounting data and valuation processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective time management and prioritisation abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal & written).

Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).

Experience using or interacting with the Aladdin platform or equivalent.

Proven ability to manage operational risk and drive process improvements.

Experience mentoring junior team members or leading small teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Flexible to work in UK shift hours and under pressure when needed.

Good-to-Have Skills & Qualifications

Professional certifications such as IOC, IMC, ACCA, or CFA (Level I/II).

Familiarity with data quality assurance and control frameworks.

Knowledge of automated reconciliation tools and process automation.

Experience working in a global operations team across time zones.

Ability to drive innovation initiatives and implement technological enhancements.

Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance standards in asset management.
