Data Management Analyst Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Data Management Analyst to support the setup, maintenance, and quality control of security, index, and pricing data across the global data management platform.
The role involves reviewing and extracting key information from security term sheets and capital statements, liaising with front and middle office teams, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of asset pricing data. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining data quality, supporting automation initiatives, and contributing to system enhancements within a fast-paced asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Pricing Data ManagementSet up and maintain security master, index, and pricing data on the global data management platform.
Review and extract relevant data from security-related documentation (e.g., term sheets, capital statements).
Input and maintain manual pricing data from approved sources.
Recalculate prices for instruments such as Private Equity following events (e.g., drawdowns).
Data Quality & ControlsPerform quality checks on security master, index, and pricing data.
Monitor and validate daily data feeds from multiple vendors and internal systems.
Review exception and missing price reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
Maintain manual pricing logs and supporting documentation.
Ensure data integrity through robust control and monitoring activities.
Stakeholder & Query ManagementMonitor team mailboxes and ensure stakeholder queries are addressed accurately and within agreed timelines.
Liaise with front office, middle office, and external vendors on data-related issues.
Automation & Systems SupportMaintain and monitor existing automation tools (robots).
Test system change requests and new releases to ensure data integrity and functionality.
Support project work and data-related transformation initiatives as required.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of securities data (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives), pricing, and index data.
Basic knowledge of Corporate Action pricing methodologies.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and focus on data quality.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Good-to-Have Skills & Experience
Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
Previous experience in instrument, pricing, or index data management within asset management.
Professional qualifications (e.g., IOC, IMC).
Experience with Aladdin, S&P (Markit) EDM, T24.
Experience with data vendors such as Refinitiv Eikon, Datascope, Bloomberg, ICE.
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, macros, VBA, Power Query) and/or knowledge of SQL.
Experience working on data-focused projects or system implementations.
Xceptor Practitioner Certification.
