Data Management Junior Analyst

Role Overview

Are you ready to kickstart your career in financial services? This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the operations team as a Data Management Junior Analyst.

The role focuses on the setup, maintenance, and quality control of security, index, and pricing data within a global data management platform. You will gain hands-on experience in asset management data processes, working closely with internal stakeholders while building strong technical and analytical skills in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Pricing Data Maintenance

Set up and maintain security, index, and pricing data on the global data management platform.

Perform data quality checks on security master, index, and pricing data.

Input and maintain manual pricing data from approved sources.

Recalculate Private Equity (PE) prices following relevant lifecycle events (e.g., drawdowns).

Data Quality & Controls

Monitor and validate daily data feeds from multiple sources.

Review exception and missing price reports, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Maintain manual pricing logs and supporting spreadsheets.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity through adherence to established procedures and controls.

Stakeholder & Team Support

Monitor team mailboxes and respond to stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner.

Liaise with internal departments regarding data-related queries or discrepancies.

Assist the Line Manager with project work and team initiatives.

Systems & Automation Support

Support testing of system change requests and new releases.

Maintain and monitor team automation tools (“robots”).

Contribute to process improvements and data automation initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.

Basic understanding of securities data (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives), pricing, and index data.

Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Good-to-Have Skills & Experience

Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.

Working knowledge of Excel formulas, macros, VBA, Power Query, or SQL.

Experience working on projects with a significant data component.

Internship or prior exposure to financial services or asset management operations.
