The primary responsibility of the Associate Global Category Manager (AGCM) s to work in close collaboration with the Global Category Director (GCD) for Packaging and Global Category Manager (GCM) in leading sourcing activities (RFI/RFQ’s) and manage supplier relationships across packaging portfolio. AGCM will manage specific subcategories across region. The position can be covered in Europe. This is an on - site role. **Key Responsibilities** Assist the Global Category Director to execute purchasing and supply strategies that maximize supply continuity, growth potential, and profitability. • Support RFI / RFP process, maximizing usage of our e-Sourcing tool, perform RFP analysis and prepare sourcing proposals; • Work on spend analysis, prepare spend report. • Ensure suppliers are properly classified, support supplier reclassification when needed to ensure the spend is properly reported in the system. • In close collaboration with the GCD and GCM, support key initiatives related to dual sourcing, Best Cost Countries, and Business Continuity Plans. • In this position you will be relied on to work critical supplier escalations, coordinate with the Global Category Managers and Site Local Buyers to solve issues. • Act as the first point of contact for manufacturing sites (main locations: Germany, USA, Brazil); • Ensure ZERO (0) material shortage in daily purchasing. • Communicate overall market & category trends/results to Global Category Director/Manager and stakeholders (e.g., Buyers, R&D, Manufacturing); • Under the supervision of the GCD/GCM, you will lead a portfolio of sub-categories **Education, years and type of experience:** + Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering) or equivalent years of experience + 3+ years’ experience in Procurement in an international, multi-site organization; experience working closely with operations, manufacturing and site procurement. + More than 1 year experience supporting product and category strategies in packaging commodity materials (primary and secondary packaging materials) procurement is a plus. + Advanced MS Office skills and handling complex analytical data sets in Excel, preparing presentations to management, gathering benchmark data through utilization of various procurement databases. Need to be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. + Experience in the medical/pharma industry is a plus. Proven success in leading multiple projects and varying complexity tasks with often changing priorities. + Excellent commercial instincts & business acumen with strong negotiation skills. + Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented attitude, demonstrate a Can-Do attitude; be a doer and positively engaged. + Ability to develop strategic, high business impact supply relationships with a proven track record in delivering results; + Excellent communication skills in English (min.
