The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Associate Epic Analyst-– EpicCare Ambulatory/Kaleidoscope.
The Associate Epic Analyst, assists the team with implementing, building, upgrading, and modifying general applications. The Associate Epic Analyst assists the application team members with optimizing the application’s configuration, function, and access and with day-to-day application support and resolving application issues.
Core Responsibilities:
Assists with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
Aids with all phases of testing and document workflow design.
Performs basic analysis of new releases and determine how they will impact workflow.
Helps with identifying issues and the work to resolve them.
Assists with providing day-to-day application support, evaluating and resolving service tickets, implementing requested application changes, and retrieving requested data in a timely manner.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies
Participates in on-call rotations and support.
Maintains regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
As an Associate Epic Analyst – EpicCare Ambulatory/Kaleidoscope, you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:
Travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts on the team
Implementing, building, and modifying the application
Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access
Providing day-to-day application support and resolving application issues
Serve as a support contact for application end‐users
Design, develop, implement, and maintain the application
Support all phases of testing and document workflow design
Perform analysis of new releases and determine how they will impact workflow
Identify issues and work to resolve them
Provide day-to-day application support, evaluate and resolve service tickets, implement requested application changes, and retrieve requested data in a timely manner
Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies
Maintain regular communication with team members and participate in weekly project team meetings
Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
Become knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
EpicCare Ambulatory and Kaleidoscope Certifications required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills preferred
Familiarity with physician practices' workflows, hospital outpatient departments and patient experiences preferred
Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practices' workflows preferred
Understanding of a wide array of integration points, including scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
