Northrop Grumman is seeking a **Associate - Engineer Guidance Navigation Control I-II** professional located in Chandler, AZ. **Essential Functions:** + Support various launch vehicle, target vehicle, and business development programs + Design, develop, and implement flight software algorithms to support guidance, navigation, and control functions for the target or launch vehicle + Design, develop, and implement simulation software to test and verify mission requirements for the vehicle + Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality + Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation or orbit in space + Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for launch vehicles and/or spacecraft + Utilize excellent communication skills to report program milestones, technical approaches, and findings to GNC as well as program management **Basic Qualifications: This is a multi level I-II Requirement.** + _Associate level:_ Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 0 years of related engineering experience + _Engineer level_ : Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s degree and 0 years of experience in a STEM discipline + Experience with C++, MATLAB, and Simulink + Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering + Familiarity with rocket motor propelled vehicle trajectory design and customer provided requirement analysis in a flight software in simulation environment + Experience with autopilot and guidance algorithm design and navigation and actuator subsystems + Experience with vehicle trajectory design and customer provided requirements analysis in a flight software in simulation environment + Experience with Python and the Linux operating system + Active DoD Secret security clearance Primary Level Salary Range: $63,900.00 - $95,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
