Organization Overview

The Associate Director - Quality Control is responsible for the oversight of laboratory testing in support of manufacturing operations.  This position requires the ability to multitask / prioritize, excellent written and oral communication skills, decision making ability, interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to anticipate potential problems then develop / implement alternative solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and monitor quality plans for analytical projects, ensuring proper prioritization, resource allocation, and direction.Communicate and collaborate effectively with customers and support teams to meet project requirements and maintain satisfaction.Establish and maintain inspection readiness activities to ensure ongoing compliance.Collaborate with other departments to share best practices, contribute knowledge, engage in strategic and tactical planning, and ensure customer needs are addressed.Participate in regulatory inspections and interact with agencies regarding cGMP-related matters.Drive improvements and streamline quality systems to enhance operational effectiveness.Act as a conduit for corporate communications and initiatives within the team or department.Serve as a technical resource and review and approve technical documents for accuracy and compliance.Lead assessments of assay variability and its impact on process variability and support lab initiatives to reduce measurement variation.Demonstrate flexibility and possess the ability to effectively lead a team through change.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biology/Microbiology or related Science.Minimum 3+ years GMP laboratory experience.Previous supervisor experience.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$123,000 - $198,000

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
