As part of this vision, we are seeking an Associate Director - Marketing Alzheimer's to lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that ensure a successful launch and sustained growth of our Neuroscience portfolio. This role will focus on shaping brand strategy, driving customer engagement across multiple channels, and orchestrating cross-functional alignment to deliver exceptional value to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Main responsibilities
In this strategic position, the candidate will combine strong business acumen with deep market insight to localize global strategies for the Italian market, ensuring readiness for a successful launch and lifecycle management. Success will require inspiring leadership, effective coaching, and the ability to translate complex market dynamics into actionable plans that maximize impact and profitability. The Associate Director - Marketing Alzheimer's will act as a key influencer within the Italy Hub, guiding affiliates through launch readiness and customer planning, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
The Associate Director - Marketing Alzheimer's will focus on deeply understanding the Alzheimer’s Disease diagnostic ecosystem in Italy, the Neuroscience market, the competition, and the key players and their needs; and in turn leveraging this understanding to support a winning brand strategy during launch and beyond. This position will report to the Neuroscience Business Unit Leader.
The position will be located in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, with up to 50% travel.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
Understand the market landscapes, competitive development efforts, and the value needs of patients, caregivers, physicians, and payers in Italy and across the Italy Hub.Ensure local commercialization strategies are linked to the Global/International Business Unit (IBU) strategy; this will require communication and influence with global teams and IBU leaders to ensure that local cross-functional resources are in place timely to achieve business goals.Engage Thought Leaders in collaboration with Medical to localize the Global strategy across all relevant customer groups (HCPs, Advocacy organizations, etc.)Work closely with Lilly IBU team in order to share insights to ensure global strategies and IBU initiatives are anchored to customers’ needs.Coach and develop a diverse team.Orchestrate, engage, and drive alignment with the entire cross-functional team.Plan, develop, and deliver robust launch readiness assessments for Italy and, at the same time, ensure a strong launch readiness process in the Italy HUB’s priority countries.Lifecycle strategy development.Minimum Requirements
Significant experience (3+ years) in pharma marketing, including track-record of a recent product launch experience.Strong ability to run a Business Plan and manage Opex.Demonstrated learning agility.Substantial brand planning / brand strategy development experience.Strong strategic thinking skills; can manage through ambiguity.Strong capabilities to clarify strategic directions and to engage cross functional Teams (especially Medical, PRA, Corporate Affairs. Ethics and Compliance, Legal)Achieves results through others across functions, geographies, and a variety of personality styles.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize.Market research experience or significant engagement with market research in numerous projects.Demonstrated ability to deliver strong results.Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude.Demonstrated ability to develop multichannel and digital marketing campaigns.Demonstrated relationship management skills (both internal and external) and ability to coach and develop other marketers.Fluent in written and spoken English and ItalianEducation Requirements
