Associate Director - Financial Planning and Analysis, Cost Management
The Banking and Financial Services, Financial Planning and Analysis team is responsible for driving the financial performance of Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services division through planning, forecasting, and analysis. Our team supports decision-making on technology investments, cost optimization, and capacity planning to align financial outcomes with strategic priorities. You will lead the Banking and Financial Services Technology division’s budgeting, forecasting, and long range planning, delivering incisive analysis that surfaces trends, risks, and opportunities. Acting as a trusted business partner to Technology leadership and business channel COOs, you’ll provide commercial insights and financial guidance on strategic initiatives, driving capacity planning and prioritisation decisions that improve performance. You will oversee financial governance for technology investments, cost and headcount management, building clear frameworks that enhance transparency and efficiency. You’ll mentor a high performing team, engage senior stakeholders across Technology, Financial Management and Banking and Financial Services Channels, and translate complex financials into compelling narratives. You’ll champion process improvement and automation using tools such as Anaplan, ThoughtSpot and JIRA, while maintaining a robust control environment and proactively managing financial and operational risks
What you offer

Proven experience in a senior FP&A or finance business partnering role, preferably within the technology industry Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for developing and coaching talent Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets Experience with financial systems and business intelligence tools (e.g., Anaplan, TM1, Thoughspot, JIRA) CA/CPA or equivalent qualification is highly regarded A strong interest and understanding of AI and its potential to transform finance and business.
