At SV, _how_ we work matters. We are seeking a collaborative, team-oriented investor to help execute SV’s therapeutic investment mandate. The Associate Director of Investments works closely with senior investment professionals to source new investment ideas, conduct due diligence, and support and manage existing investments. As the Associate Director grows in the role, there will be opportunities to lead deals and/or take board observer seats.
The successful candidate will be able to synthesize information across diverse therapeutic areas to reach sound investment conclusions, while understanding the strategic rationale, business principles, financial analysis, and market dynamics that inform investment decisions. The role offers broad exposure to company management teams, Sanofi R&D colleagues, investor conferences, and other resources used by Sanofi Ventures.

**Main Responsibilities**
**Investment Analysis**
+ Provide detailed analytical and due diligence support for new investment opportunities.
+ Work with technical and business teams to evaluate opportunities; solicit input from senior investment professionals, R&D colleagues, advisors, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
+ Participate in due diligence, including calls with internal and external KOLs (physicians, scientists, consultants); perform market analyses and build therapeutic market and financial models.
+ Support deal negotiations with management teams.
**Portfolio Management and Deal Tracking**
+ Track, triage, and maintain new and active opportunities in the deal database, prioritizing those of greatest strategic interest.
+ Support oversight and management of existing portfolio companies.
+ Assist with analysis and recommendations related to the sale of public company positions.
**Active Team Member**
+ Actively participate in SV activities and represent SV to the highest standards internally and externally.
+ Prepare presentations and reports, with primary responsibility for content, style, and analytics for quarterly investment meetings.
+ Contribute to Investment Committee materials and present deal recommendations.
+ Represent SV externally at panels, pitch competitions, and other relevant speaking engagements.

**About You**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s, MD, or PhD preferred; MBA considered for candidates without industry experience).
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant life-sciences experience, with at least 1 year at a venture capital firm with direct investment analysis and due diligence experience.
+ Relevant experience may also include top-tier investment banking, healthcare-focused consulting, or biopharma R&D or business development roles.

The salary range for this position is:
$178,500.00 - $297,500.00
All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
