Lead category & consumer centric Pack Price Architecture strategy for the KC North America commercial business. Drive decision-making with fact-based insights and research across consumer, category, competition & customer.  Partner with key customer teams and retailers for sell-in and execution to ensure optimal rollout. Lead a PPA center of excellence team, building talent & capabilities both within RGM and with cross functional partners.

In this role, you will:

Lead enterprise PPA projects in partnership with brand GMs with high quality and within timelines, supporting the delivery of brand-defined objectives.

Lead the work to develop and deploy PPA-centric capabilities in: Project management, stakeholder engagement, diagnostics and simulation assessment.

Identify dig sites, compile analysis & drive fast decision making of RGM opportunities to adjust price and pack architecture to better achieve brand objectives.

Partner closely with headquarters and customer sales teams to merge brand and customer strategies to maximize PPA objectives while also identifying & addressing executional barriers prior to deployment of PPA

Work closely with GMs to develop clear objectives, direct consumer & category research, align on scenarios and communicate process and recommendation to senior leaders.

Understand Channel pricing relationships and develop solutions within PPA to reduce channel conflict

Lead evaluation, selection & partnership with primary research vendors

Remove barriers and set prioritization to business needs and highest impact

Essential Functions:

Product, Pack & Price Recommendations

Continuously improve the framework & guidelines of a category led PPA recommendation

Support team members in modeling, validating results and simplifying the story of complex data sets to cross functional teams

Lead customer facing PPA recommendations, establishing RGM as a function who drives category growth via facts and build a high level of credibility both internally & externally

Process Ownership and Development

Hone the PPA KC blueprint, creating and adjusting structure & processes in key areas like stakeholder engagement, project management, diagnostics and scenario assessment.

Work across functions (RGM, Sales, Brand, I&A) to provide a blueprint for PPA success, managing the process to ensure delivery timelines are met and organization goals are fulfilled.

Diagnostic Analytics

Analyze consumer, category, customer & competitive data across multiple data platforms utilizing strong analytic skills and techniques

Understand customer economics, with the ability to validate modeling results via multiple sources & consumer insights

Facilitate ideation & hypothesis generation on opportunities to drive business objectives via products, packs or pricing

Primary Research:  

Lead of RGM primary research including vendor selection, budget, design and holding vendors to a high level of excellence in all deliverables

Partner with Insights & Analytics teams to ensure best in class approaches to consumer research design and results analysis

Talent Building

Support the building of talent within the PPA & A&C teams, with a focus on delivering best in class fact-based recommendations across the enterprise

Grow team member skills holistically from consumer insights to category modeling while continuously improving presentation and storytelling skills

Remove barriers and set prioritization to business needs and highest impact

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Preferred: Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or analytics.

Demonstrated Performance:

Demonstrated track record of leadership and sustained success across multi-category CPG companies with known quality RGM functions or direct RGM consulting experience across multiple clients.

Significant experience working on PPA strategies, inclusive of size, count and price changes. Experience on existing product lines is more important than new product launches.

Expertise across multiple retail channels, including brick & mortar and omni-channel. 

Direct retail sales experience and/or record of successful customer sell-in and influencing

Success in managing complex projects partnering cross-functionally within large scale, multi-category businesses (either Insights/Analytics, Cat-Man, Brand/Trade Mktg) which delivered, or exceeded, timeline and results

Strong Analytical skills: Exceptional analytical skills including ability to proactively outline approach & fact base required for a business problem or opportunity. 

Strategic Thinking: Strong conceptual thinking skills and basic understanding of marketing strategies and market research

Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to actively participate in group discussions with individuals from various functions within the organization.

Leadership skills: Strength in bringing together multiple functions to achieve results and drive recommendations with Senior Management. Experience managing people strongly preferred.

 Salary Range: 173,400 – 214,200 USD At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
