Job Responsibilities

The Associate Director of Product Operations supports our business goals by managing teams of product analysts and managers responsible for collecting and analyzing data to support product decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the overall product operations strategy to align with business goals.Manage teams of product operations managers and analysts, including line management, performance management, professional development, interviewing, and onboarding.Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units to align technology initiatives with portfolio strategy and customer priorities.Drive stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure alignment on product roadmaps and strategic objectives.Collaborate with business partners and customers to capture requirements and influence roadmap planning for IT solutions.Lead change management and readiness activities to support successful implementation of portfolio-driven initiatives.Drive portfolio management across multiple initiatives and lead project discovery, planning, initiation, and occasional project leadership.Develop and maintain roadmaps for programs and product initiatives.Utilize advanced data analysis tools (Excel, analytics platforms, product management systems) to drive strategic decisions and optimize product performance.Identify and implement innovative processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Partner with senior leaders across product management, engineering, marketing, Finance, HR, and other teams to ensure alignment and successful product operations.Oversee monitoring and optimization of key performance metrics and KPIs.Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analysis to guide product strategy and positioning.Lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of tools and systems used in product operations (ServiceNow, portfolio management tools, budget tools, Microsoft Teams).Manage the Product Operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.Apply project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum) to take initiatives from idea → concept → kickoff → execution.Provide delivery oversight above the level of a standard Project Manager.Identify, escalate, and resolve high‑impact operational issues.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.Certified Project ManagerAgile Certification highly preferred.

Additional Qualifications

8–10+ years of experience (10 preferred) in portfolio management, project management, Account management, and program leadership.Strong background in corporate applications with Finance and HR domain exposure preferred; familiarity with ERP and HCM systems.Ability to think strategically and develop long‑term plans to achieve business objectives.Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire teams and drive cross‑functional collaboration.Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and provide strategic insights.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and documentation.Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools, project & portfolio management tools, budget management tools, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint (executive‑ready presentations, diagrams, roadmaps).Strong problem‑solving skills to address and resolve complex operational challenges.Advanced project management skills to lead and coordinate multiple high‑impact projects.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve product operations.Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management to optimize resource allocation.Strong negotiation, influencing, and business‑partner mindset; comfortable engaging senior executives.
