Associate Director, Operational Risk Enablement

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Our RBC Operational Risk team is currently hiring an Associate Director of Practice Strategy. We strive to evolve operational risk practices with technological enablement to drive consistency across business segments, regions, and legal entities. We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director to support the evolution of ORM Enablement and our OR practices.

What will you do?

Provide support for the development, execution, and delivery of ORM Enablement initiatives such as ORM Calendar and Risk Dependency MapDevelop consistent messaging and solutions to address blockers to delivery of ORM requirements and share insights with partners across lines of defense to ensure awareness and collaboration in addressing.Regularly review and evaluate changes to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with organizational objectivesFacilitate collaboration among key stakeholders to ensure that initiatives to advance external events activities across lines of defence, and initiatives to progress alignment to regulatory requirements for Change Management RiskContinuously monitor and evaluate progress of the portfolio of initiatives, identifying potential risks and issues to delivery, and proactive mitigation strategiesUtilize insights and strategic connections across OR to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of initiative deliveryEnhance the existing program interaction channels to improve communication on initiative progress, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and senior leadership

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

7+ years of experience working in change management, project management, transformation or a related fieldProven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentA bias for action, demonstrating agility and decisivenessExcellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsAbility to synthesize system information and business processes into clear impacts and benefits that are conveyed through learning, communication, and presentation materialsProficiency in creating high-quality executive presentations and reportsExceptional PowerPoint, storytelling, and communication skills (including facilitation in remote / virtual models)
