What is the opportunity?
An exciting and fulfilling opportunity where you will shape the technology and data strategy landscape for Finance Performance Management in RBC Capital Markets. This role will oversee process transformation across financial and management reporting deliverables employing emerging technologies including AI. You will be an agent of change to drive broad adoption of finance technology and digital tools. Core responsibilities also include transformation of processes to enhance timeliness and quality of data insights employing business intelligence tools.
What will you do?
Strategic Transformation
Identify process improvement opportunities across financial and management reporting deliverables by leveraging use of emerging technologiesDrive broad adoption of technology and digital tools across Finance Performance Management by partnering with key stakeholders from inception to implementationArticulate benefits of emerging technologies, while proposing solutions to address process pain-points specific to individual teams having demonstrated a deep understanding of current stateSet goals and KPIs in line with the strategic direction of the broader CFO Group while monitoring and reporting progress to Finance leadership Automate manual processes to enhance accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of controlsEmploy business intelligence tools to speed up standard report generation delivering timely and high quality insightTechnology Stakeholding
In collaboration with IT, troubleshoot and resolve application and functional support issues for various financial reporting systemsReview pipeline of IT initiatives and advise on prioritization, while demonstrating deep understanding of how each initiative aligns with strategic goal of Finance Performance Management Interface with IT as the primary Finance contact, advocating on behalf of Capital Markets Performance ManagementProvide technical and administrative support on financial systems, including the implementation of various finance tools and applications, and development of financial and management reportsEducate the broader team on relevant technology advancements, while acting as trusted advisor on all technology-related issues and opportunitiesWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Undergraduate University Degree (in fields related to Business, Finance, Computer Science)Investigative, innovative, and analytical mindsetExperience driving technology adoption and process efficienciesKnowledge and experience using analytical tools and managing large datasetsAdvanced user proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office; programming languages including Python and SQL; and financial reporting systemsMotivated to excel in a high-pressure, high-reward environmentAbility to initiate and build strong relationships across various stakeholdersOrganizational skills and ability to multi-taskExcellent verbal and written communication skillsNice-to-have
