Associate Director, Credit Risk Measurement

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As part of the Group Risk Management team, the Associate Director, Credit Risk Measurement will lead the implementation of stress testing components and oversee risk management analytics within credit risk. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and experience to manage complex assignments and drive impactful results. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the team’s approach to credit risk measurement and stress testing, ensuring alignment with internal and regulatory requirements.

What will you do?

Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of tools used for the implementation and execution of credit risk models, including those used for Expected Credit Loss (ECL), Provision for Credit Losses, and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) calculations.Oversee the production and delivery of stress testing projections for both internal and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements.Identify and resolve challenges in ECL production processes, leveraging advanced problem-solving skills and technical expertise.Provide leadership and guidance for ad-hoc stress testing and analytical requests, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.Communicate results, insights, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving strategic outcomes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

2+ years of experience related to stress testing programs in the financial industry, 5+ years quantitative analytical experience.Advanced experience with SAS and Python programming.Strong expertise in data analytics and quantitative problem-solving.In-depth knowledge of modeling and credit products in the financial industry.University degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have:

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Advanced academic qualifications (e.g., Master, Ph.D. degree).Professional designations such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
