What is the opportunity?
The Associate Director, Capital Markets Performance Management is a key member of the performance management team in Capital Markets Platform Finance that will include responsibility for strategic analysis, reporting, and performance management insightsÂ

What will you do?
Oversee the production of accurate and complete CM Platform Performance Management deliverables, including monthly/quarterly reporting & strategic analyses for consumption by senior management and functional partnersProvide project management support and implement strategic initiatives and complex projects for key finance prioritiesResponsible for the development of insightful analysis and actionable information working directly and indirectly with business leaders, the CEO and CFO of CM, CFO of RBC, and senior regional staff in the execution of forward-looking deliverables including strategic Line of Business enterprise reviewsProvide business executives and senior management of Capital Markets with analysis and recommendations on business performance, through identification of issues and ongoing monitoring, as well as provide analysis of strategic initiativesProactively develop, monitor, and message key performance metrics (financial and non-financial)Provide insightful and actionable analysis of Capital Markets results and work on complex presentations (in most cases based on financial modelling exercises) to support executive decision-makingConsistently drive innovation to enhance processes to achieve greater efficiency and controls to elevate the value added impact of financial and management reportingBe a key Finance contact for the Capital Markets platform ensuring reporting, analysis, and performance management requirements are meeting the needs of the Capital Markets CFO and the Capital Markets Operating Committee through timely, actionable, and insightful reporting.What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
CPA, CFA, or Finance MBA4+ years’ experience in fields related to finance performance management and strategic analysisKeen sense of numbers and strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle time-sensitive executive level requests on a continuous basisExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and mobilize teams to deliver on common goalsSuperior organizational, analytical, and problem solving skillsAbility to creatively and consistently exercise independent thought and judgment; and adapt to new tasks quicklyInnovative, proactive, and persistent in issue resolutionVery strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills, with data mining acumen to explore and employ novel approaches/tools/technologies to enhance the delivery of financial informationNice to Have
Experience in Capital Markets business activity and/or financial resource optimization (capital, funding, and liquidity).Solid understanding of bank structure, risk management concepts, financial markets, and instruments#LI-POST
