Job Title: Associate Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Construction Manager to support industrial construction projects. This role is ideal for an early-career construction professional who wants to develop hands-on field experience while learning construction management, safety, and documentation processes. The Associate Construction Manager will initially provide backend and field support to Construction Managers, with increased responsibility and field exposure over time.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing subcontractors on project-related activities with a focus on safety, scope, schedule, and budget.Support project startup activities, including schedule reviews, health & safety coordination, and subcontractor onboarding.Assist in assigning roles and responsibilities in accordance with the Project Execution Plan (PEP).Support cost estimating activities for labor, materials, and equipment.Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Managers on PEP development and updates, change management, and cost, schedule, and scope tracking.Perform construction documentation tasks using construction management platforms, including submittals, RFIs, bid leveling, daily reports, and field notes.Gradually increase field responsibilities, including contractor observations and drawing review in the field.Adhere to established Quality and Environmental Management Systems.Actively support a strong safety culture in both the office and field.

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of construction sequencing and planning, scheduling and durations, and means and methods.Knowledge of safety planning, permitting, scheduling, excavation, hazardous waste remediation, and contractor oversight.Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud.OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (OSHA 10 acceptable for entry-level candidates; additional training provided).Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on construction exposure (industrial, commercial, utilities, infrastructure, or MEP preferred).Understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and safety fundamentals.Strong organizational and computer skills.Willingness to learn and be mentored.Desire to work outdoors year-round as part of a field-based team.

Work Environment

The Associate Construction Manager will work out of a construction trailer on site, starting the day around 6:30 AM reviewing permits and daily work plans. The majority of the day is spent in the field directly overseeing contractor work, with exposure to all weather conditions throughout the year. The typical end of the day is around 3:00 PM, with flexibility for extended hours, outages, or weekend work as needed. Occasional on-call or weekend support is required for site conditions, such as weather-related inspections.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.86 - $89.15/hr.
