About the Job:
Taco Bell is hiring an Associate Construction Manager to join the Global Design team, helping reinvent how the brand creates, renovates, and evolves both new and existing assets. This role manages construction for all special projects across the United States. You will be a nimble and creative partner in constructing world-class concepts while modeling Taco Bell's Live Más culture, while creating and implementing new processes and tools within the Global Design Team.
The Day-to-Day:
Supervise the construction of Taco Bell Corporate restaurants for special projects, installations, tests and remodels within existing Taco Bell restaurants. Responsible for managing the entire project from design approval thru opening. Including, but not limited to, GC sourcing & bidding, invoicing, schedules, cost tracking, equipment vendors coordination, construction, punch list, opening and 11-month warranty tracking.Develop tight project budgets and aggressive schedules in partnership with Global Design team.Directly manage the work of general contractors and third party vendors as it relates to Taco Bell construction projects and delivery and install timing.Select qualified General Contractors (GC's) for competitive bidding, review and qualify bids, award work and directly supervise the performance of GC's throughout each project.Closely manage the documentation of all project-related material and documents (ie. bid documents, project trackers, invoices/draw requests, notices of construction progress, closeout documents, warranty inspections, etc.)Extensive (up to 30-50%) travel as required to perform construction site visits, pre-bid/pre-construction meetings to facilitate high-quality project openings.
Is this you?
Minimum 5 years' experience in the Construction Management field, preferably in the multi-unit retail/restaurant industry. Specializing in construction negotiations and managing multiple projects and initiatives at one time.Working knowledge of key market building codes, local municipal permitting, utilities and ADA, federal and state requirements.Ability to determine the key steps in a complex process in order to advance projects.Comprehensive understanding of all construction/lease/landlord related contracts and commitments, including LOI and Landlord work-letters.Phenomenal multitasking skills and being able to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheet, PowerPoint and love learning new computer skills.

Hybrid work schedule (onsite expectation Tues, Wed, Thurs) and year-round flex day FridayOnsite childcare through Bright Horizons Onsite dining center and game room (yes, there is a Taco Bell inside the building) Onsite dry cleaning, laundry services, carwash, Onsite gym with fitness classes and personal trainer sessions Up to 4 weeks of vacation per year plus holidays and time off for volunteering Generous parental leave for all new parents and adoption assistance program 401(k) with a 6% matching contribution from Yum!
