As an Associate Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining optimal data pipelines to assemble large and intricate datasets, catering to the business requirements of various CVS lines of business. Collaborating closely with teams, you will craft tools to provide actionable insights and integrate them with consumer touchpoints.

As an Associate Data Engineer, you will be responsible for following –

Develop, deploy, and maintain robust data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging services like BigQuery and Composer (Apache Airflow).Translate existing legacy programs and data processes into efficient, scalable Python-based solutions for migration to GCP.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless data flow and service delivery.Focus on data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the data lifecycle, implementing best practices for monitoring and validation.

Required Qualifications:

· Experience with:

SQL/NoSQLPython (or a comparable scripting language)Data warehouses (such as data modeling and technical architectures) and infrastructure componentsETL/ELT, and building high-volume data pipelinesReporting/analytic toolsQuery optimization, data structures, transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload managementBig data and cloud architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in designing and building data engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP)Experience in Python or a comparable scripting language and shell scripting.Experience in creating SQL based processes.Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipeline, and other DevOps principles/best practicesUnderstanding of software development methodologies including waterfall and agile.Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teamsGoogle Professional Data Engineer Certification

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$61,800.00 - $123,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
