Associate Account Manager, Media Planning
Job Summary

The Walgreens Advertising Group (WAG) is seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our Client Success team, supporting pharmaceutical clients. This role supports the planning, launch, optimization, and reporting of digital advertising campaigns, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for both clients and internal partners.

The Associate Account Manager works closely with teams across Sales, Media Planning, Creative, and Channel Execution to keep campaigns organized, on track, and aligned to client goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and energized by working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where strong communication and teamwork are key.

This role plays an important part in connecting client objectives with media strategy and campaign execution throughout the campaign lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

Campaign Management & ExecutionDrive the end-to-end campaign lifecycle from client investment through activation and reporting, partnering with Sales, Media Planning, Creative, and Channel Execution teams.Own campaign timelines and deliverables, ensuring internal teams, clients, and channel partners remain aligned.Serve as the primary point of contact for campaign-related communication, leading internal and external kickoff calls and escalating risks as needed.Coordinate deployment of audience segments, measurement tags, and creative assets to ensure accurate and timely activation across platforms.Reporting & OptimizationAnalyze performance reports in partnership with the Senior Media Planner to identify optimization opportunities and insights.Assist in the development of client-facing reports and presentations, including performance recaps and strategic media POVs.Support optimization discussions by connecting performance trends back to media plan objectives and KPIs.Tracking & BillingMonitor and maintain campaign budgets, budget trackers, and pacing reports.Partner with execution and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing.Support reconciliation efforts by validating delivery, spend, and contractual alignment.Creative Coordination & ReviewAct as a subject matter expert on creative specifications, ad formats (onsite and offsite), and regulatory requirements.Route creative assets for internal and external review, ensuring readiness for launch.Review ad copy, disclaimers, and messaging to ensure alignment with Walgreens’ legal, privacy, and clinical guidelines, with particular rigor for pharmaceutical campaigns.Media Planning SupportGather and organize inputs required for media plan development, including client marketing objectives, KPIs, messaging, channel preferences, and flighting requirements.Track and document changes to media plans, such as budget reallocations, flight date shifts, and channel mix adjustments.Assist Senior Media Planners in the preparation of media recommendations, tactical plans, and annual planning presentations.Maintain clear documentation to ensure seamless handoff between planning, execution, and reporting teams.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree OR High School/GED and at least 3 years of experience in media or marketingExperience providing thorough, accurate, and organized assignments and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in digital marketing, campaign or project management, ad operations, or media planningFamiliarity with digital media channels (i.e. display, native, email, paid social, programmatic)Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables and deadlines simultaneouslyUnderstanding of creative routing processes and asset managementExperience working with pharmaceutical brands, clinical content, or within regulated industries (HIPAA, COPPA, etc.)Familiarity with privacy and compliance standards related to digital media (e.g., consent requirements, data use policies)Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approachDetail-oriented with a process-driven mindset and ability to troubleshoot blockers independentlyWe will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Salary Range: $63100 - $101200 / Salaried
