The Intraday Liquidity (IDL) function sits within Corporate Treasury and predominantly leverages a proprietary, real-time application under the same name, Intraday Liquidity (IDL), to look after firm’s global cash & payments activity. The team interacts with global regulators, clearing houses, Financial Market Infrastructures, Wholesale Payments Technology, Treasury Funding, Liquidity Strategy, Liquidity Management, Liquidity Risk Management, and the lines-of-business teams to maintain and enhance the firm’s Intraday capability.
As a member of the IDL team, you will function in a global support role managing the technology and non-technology related change the bank efforts and controls framework execution. Our partner teams, and the IDL team, are globally distributed therefore the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with remote stakeholders and contributors across time zones is essential.
Position Description
This position will be based in Bengaluru. This role will require interest Intraday Liquidity and strong partnerships across Treasury functions for all Asia countries including, but not limited to, Treasury Funding teams, Line of Business Treasury teams, Firmwide Balance Sheet management teams, Liquidity Risk Oversight, Operational Risk, Clearing Operations, Cash Management, Nostro Management and Technology teams. Besides, effective collaboration and communication will be essential internally with EMEA and North America Intraday Liquidity team.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the end-to-end development, enhancements and execution of Intraday Liquidity Dashboard APAC related projects, including the buildout of legal entity and currency views
• Support the APAC region and its book of work within the IDL Product application and management processes
• Drive enhancements to the IDL application through SDLC, agile prioritization, requirements gathering and sharing with technology, and testing
• Use analytical frameworks, data visualization, and data sourcing tools to help analyze and evaluate solutions to integrate within IDL application
• Access and manipulate large databases of payments data to perform analytical due diligence and help define requirements to technology
• Collaborate on the Intraday Liquidity management aspects related to oversight of APAC LE balances, management of the APAC LEs Intraday Liquidity playbook and its simulation, as well as business resiliency.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to ensure execution of effective controls managing intraday liquidity flows
• Develop and compose analytics reports and presentations in supporting Treasury senior management, LOB business partners, liquidity/funding forums, and client meetings. Due diligence and attention to detail is critical
• Assist with regional regulatory non reg requests regarding Intraday liquidity
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
• Minimum 6 years of experience in finance, payments, liquidity/ treasury, markets/banking business, risk and/or finance, preferably with a wide range of experience in quantitative and financial product management and systems preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as a high level of self-initiative required
• Experience with data analytics, SQL, Python, Tableau, Databricks or similar
• Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Skills
• Quantitative and analytical skills, well adapted to working with and sourcing data, prioritizing attention to detail
• An organized self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, and bring projects to closure
• Interests in intraday liquidity, ALM, payment systems and liquidity rules/requirements is preferable
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with partners across J.P. Morgan
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different businesses and functional areas.
• Ability to balance and execute multiple projects at once and deliver results under tight time constraints with attention to details.
