As an Associate HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the employee experience and driving business success across Disney Consumer Products. In this role, you will partner with the lead HR Business Partner to shape and deliver HR programs and solutions in support of both short-term and long-term business goals. You will collaborate closely with clients and become a true thought partner to help our business achieve results. This role requires a thoughtful and strategic thinker who can bring structure to ambiguity, anticipate needs and drive forward looking people plans that align with business priorities.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates a working knowledge of the business and takes a consultative approach in anticipating, assessing, and providing creative HR solutions to business prioritiesImplements and administers HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through various employee communicationsProvides consultation to clients by partnering on moderately complex HR processes, procedures, precedents and initiatives integrating appropriate centers of excellence (COE) partners as necessaryProvides day to day performance management guidanceHandles employee off-boarding and recruitment effortsConsult on and/or execute Workday transactionsAssists with key talent processes including performance calibrations, talent review, succession planning, leadership development and talent assessmentRun and utilizes reports and talent dashboards that measure talent efforts and provide predictive analytics for future changes or decisionsWorks closely with HR team, managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retentionParticipates in special projectsSupport with the internship programHandles correspondence with clients including high level executives

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years human resources generalist experience in progressively responsible rolesExperience and exposure to a variety of HR facets including organization development, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development and compensationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc), with experience producing and interpreting headcount and workforce reportingProven ability to build strong relationshipsExcellent consulting and conflict management skillsStrong use of judgment to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementationAbility to effectively interact with all organizational levels in a multicultural environment and build trusted relationshipsExcellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend multiple solutionsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational, motivational, communication and problem solving skillsAbility to manage multiple conflicting prioritiesAbility to function independently with minimal supervisionFunction in a matrixed, fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $87,200.00 to $106,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
