What You’ll Do

Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-transaction Java applications leveraging Spring and RESTful architectures.

Architect and drive adoption of microservices and cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Manage and mentor a diverse team of 10+ IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Oversee Agile software development lifecycle processes, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders and IT partners to align technical initiatives with strategic goals.

Drive innovation by researching and recommending new technologies and best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.

Champion continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.

Lead vendor and consultant partnerships to augment project delivery and technology adoption efforts.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years of experience building and delivering robust Java/Spring-based applications in high-volume, high-transaction environments.

8+ years of hands-on experience with microservices architecture and at least 2 years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

6+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams, with a proven track record of coaching and developing talent.

Strong strategic and analytical skills to evaluate emerging technologies and guide architectural decisions.

Deep expertise in modern middleware technologies, performance tuning, and production support.

Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Mockito).

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Our Assoc Director-Technology II, earns between $174,100-$261,100 USD Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
