Overall Purpose: Lead and supervise a team in ensuring the reliability and continuous operation of AT&T’s Optical, IP Core, Mobility, and advanced communication technologies through 24x7 technical support, fault and lifecycle management, and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end services.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a technical team, enforcing security policies.
• Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Oversee network maintenance, operational readiness testing, and system administration.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure network security, enforce policies, and support audits.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, implement optimizations, and drive strategic efficiencies through forensic analysis and KPIs.
• Automation and Budget Management: Drive automation and scripting to lower costs, and manage budget preparation, tracking, and business case coordination.
Job Contribution: Oversees operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management. Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Supervisor: Yes
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience.
Our Assoc Director-Network Ops Centers earns between $128,400 - $192,600 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
