DESCRIPTION:
Join our IT team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Desktop Support Analyst II, where you'll provide exceptional technical support to our organization. You'll troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth operations that enable our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Working with team members, you'll handle desktop support, system maintenance, and technology deployments while delivering outstanding customer service. REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 years of experience in desktop support or related IT role
• Preferred Fields of Study: Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• ITIL certification preferred
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional are advantageous
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and Microsoft Office products
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
• Experience with system deployment, configuration, and maintenance
• Proficiency in Active Directory management and user account administration
• Knowledge of IT service desk tools (ServiceNow) and ITIL practices
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts or outside normal business hours when required
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Experience with VPN, email systems, and printer support
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong documentation and process improvement skills
