4 Year Degree Midland University, a private liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach for its highly competitive, nationally-ranked NAIA volleyball program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate will assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the volleyball program. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Identify, evaluate, and recruit qualified prospective student-athletes. Coordinate campus visits with prospective student-athletes. Collaborate with the Head Coach in the preparation of practice sessions and game strategies. Assist with and/or lead on-floor coaching, training, and skill development (having a solid knowledge of, and ability to, train setters is preferred). Oversee, manage, and direct the JV program in all aspects. Conduct video analysis of opponents and collaborate with the Head Coach in the preparation and completion of scouting reports. Coordinate team travel, meals, and other operational or managerial needs. Assist with the ordering of gear and equipment and other items as needed. Coordinate the organization, administration, and execution of summer camps. Assist with the verification of eligibility of student-athletes through the NAIA. Assist with fundraising events that allow for program enhancement. Maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in the department, other college offices, members of the media, donors, etc. Participate in clinics and other professional enrichment programs to assure professional development. Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualification Guidelines
The candidate should have any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following education, training, and experience.
Bachelor's degree required. 1-2 years of previous intercollegiate coaching, playing, and/or recruiting experience is preferred. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Proficient with MS office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in graphic design software (Adobe and/or Canva) is preferred. Knowledge of NAIA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. First Aid, AED, and CPR certification within four months of hire.Skills & Abilities

Possess the ability to attract outstanding students to the university. Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules. Follow appropriate safety and conduct rules and regulations. Ability to foster strong, positive relationships and align both internal and external resources to achieve university objectives.Compensation
