Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Assistant Valuer to join our Alternatives – Valuations & Advisory business. Cushman & Wakefield’s Alternatives - Valuations & Advisory professionals provide property valuation services and expert advice to commercial property owners, investors, and developers across their portfolio of real estate assets. Based in Melbourne, you will be a key member of the Commercial Real Estate division, supporting our Director, Valuations & Advisory and broader members of the team. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate, looking to kickstart their career in Real Estate, aiming to commence a career pathway to a qualified Valuer.
You will also be responsible for:
Source and collate comprehensive data about the property or property being developed, including characteristics of the property, title search, sales and leasing information, construction costs, applications, plans, recent transactions in the marketArrange and attend inspections with senior members of the V&A team to assess the condition of the propertyAssist in conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of the property data, including financial modelling, market and risks analysis, and in line with market, microeconomics and macroeconomics conditions in the geographical areaAssist senior V&A team members in producing valuations reports describing the property, relevant factors, methodology used and expected capitalisation rate, and providing insights to the value of the property and advising on potential risks.Ensure valuations reports meets compliance requirements and quality assurance processes are followed.Write and update location specific market commentaries summarising market conditionsAttend client meetings with Senior Valuations & Advisory team members when requiredBuild and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and in the marketTo be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary Degree qualification in Property or related fieldFinancial acumen and understanding of the key components in the property valuations is desirableAnalytical skills and ability to pick up data patterns and provide insightsIntermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly excelGood communication, presentation and report writing skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to problem solveWhy join Cushman & Wakefield?
